The Frog At Home also samples offerings from other Fine Manufacturers including Ficks Reed, Kenian, Lane, Old Biscayne, Padma's Plantation, Palecek, Palmetto Creek, Stanley, Bassett, Eastern Accents, Wesley Allen and many others. Lynne Averett

Lynne Averett is a San Francisco Bay Area native and has always been involved with the Arts. She graduated from The University of California, Davis (where she met her husband, John who is often in the stores).

 

Moving to Houston in 1987, she has been active at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston for twenty years.

 

A Senior Docent, Lynne gives weekly tours on all areas of art (Impressionism, European, Contemporary, African, Asian, and Pre-Columbian) coming from around the world including the Musee d'Orsay in Paris, the Pushkin Museum in Russia, the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

 

Her experience, training and research in art guide her approach to home design.

 

As a board member of The Women's Home (a residential program for homeless and displaced women), Lynne chaired the 2009 Rose Gala raising $300,000 in funds for The Women's Home programs.

Lynne travels extensively to France, Spain, Israel, Egypt, Russia, Italy, Great Britain, and Peru, sharing those experiences with customers through our showrooms.

What do Lili, Daisy, Holly, Charlie, Coco, and Skippy have in common? They are all rescued and adopted dogs and cats!

Animals make the world better and have a special place in my life. I have adopted and placed pets into homes since I was a child. The animal agencies below have furry friends waiting for you.

Speaking of friends, children and adults sometimes need extra support.

The Child Advocacy Center helps abused children during difficult times. The Women's Home takes women from crisis to self-sufficiency, and I am proud to be on their board.

The Galveston Historical Foundation protects the historical treasures of the city. One of these is The Grand 1894 Opera House where entertainment and historic preservation meet.
